Why is it that in the world a few people get very rich and many become very poor? „Economic alphabetization» at the summer academy means intensive learning with experts and activists. It means an exchange of ideas on an equal footing, exciting meetings, a creative cultural program, and much more.

Luchamos contra la privatización de la infraestructura pública, contra la dominación de los mercados y la violación de los derechos humanos. Pero también trabajamos por desarrollar alternativas y juntos hacernos fuertes. ¿Cómo nos ayudaría un impuesto sobre las transacciones financieras ? ¿Cómo sería la democratización de un mundo globalizado? ¿Qué es la soberanía alimentaria ?
We fight against the privatization of public infrastructure, against the domination of the markets and the violation of human rights. But we also develop alternatives and together we make them strong. What would a tax on financial transactions do for us? How would the democratization of a globalized world look? What could „definancialization» mean? What is food sovereignty, and what are commons?
Be capable of acting together
More and more decisions are taken in Brussels — and influence the daily lives of people both within Europe as well as outside of it. It is therefore particularly important to get together on a trans-national basis. At the ENA activists from many countries get to know each other. International friendships make you strong. Together we will develop plans for actions, educational activities and public relations.

A comprehensive cultural program invites you to reflect and relax. There will be areas where one can get to know each other and have fun together. The Albert-Ludwigs University is one of the oldest universities in Germany. This historic institution lies in the centre of Freiburg, the southernmost city in Germany, well known for its sunny and warm climate which is also known as the capital of the black forest region. The flair of the big city is combined with beautiful scenery — that is the unique attraction of Freiburg.

Dentro de las múltiples actividades programadas, destacamos los cuatro foros centrales de debate; Sistema Financiero, Democracia, Ecología y Clima y Economía y crisis social. Además de estos foros están previstos más de 130 talleres, diferentes plenarios y una extenso programa cultural que incluye conciertos, teatro, lectura y exposiciones entre otras actividades. ENA constituye un espacio idóneo para el debate, la búsqueda de alternativas y sobre todo para continuar construyendo una red con otros movimientos sociales.
