Film Screening “Madiba the Life and Times Nelson Mandela”  

On Wednesday, December 18th, Kafe Afrika will have a documentary evening featuring the life of Nelson Mandela.  We’ll be showing, “Madiba the Life and Times Nelson Mandela” in English.  The event will start at 18:30 p.m. and the film is about 120 minutes.  During the evening, you’ll be able to listen to a collection of songs from various arists dedicated to Mandela from the 46664 albums.  We’ll debut recipes from the cookbook, “Ukutya Kwasekhaya: Tastes from Nelson Mandela’s Kitchen,” which was written by Mandela’s chef.

    African children’s party  

On Friday, 20th December, Kafe Afrika will have an African children’s party.  Your little one will receive a Ghanaian hot chocolate upon entry, which is included in the price per family, 150 CZK.  Not to worry if you have more than one little one, you’ll only pay an additional 20 CZK for an extra hot chocolate.  From 16 p.m. they can participate in the following activities:  printing teeshirts with African symbols, African story-telling with acoustic guitar, learn how to drum and dance, and a special African disco for children.

    Jam Session  

On Saturday, 21st December, Kafe Afrika will be jamming in tribute to Nelson Mandela from 21 p.m.  There will be poetry recital as well as someone playing the harmonica, saxaphone, and drums

    African Christmas party  

On Thursday, 26th December, Kafe Afrika will be hosting an African Christmas party from 18 p.m.  You can expect live drumming, nonstop dance music with DJs, and African food and drinks will be available.

    New Year’s Eve African party  

On Tuesday, 31st December, Kafe Afrika will have the biggest new year’s eve African party in Prague with DJ Kaya, DJ Afrikatu, and other guest DJs.  There will be a live drumming, music, a great atmosophere, a special welcome drink and more….. The entrance fee is 200 CZK. The cafe will be open from 11 a.m. for lunch and continuing on til we ring in the new year, 2014.
