Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Austria Work To Combat Pollution
Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Austria have joined forces to combat air pollutants by monitoring and analyzing the air quality in the Rhine Valley. The elevated location of Hinterschellenberg in Liechtenstein is particularly well suited for air measurement as particulate matter concentrations harmful to humans develop primarily in winter high-pressure areas. The Principality of Liechtenstein is also actively working to curb pollution within its borders: half of the state-owned Liechtenstein Bus Authority (LBA) vehicles run on natural gas.
