Los voluntarios y voluntarias que hemos trabajado junto con los tibetanos nos sentimos afortunad@s. La cultura de la no violencia, del amor y de la compasión puede desaparecer si no se hace nada por evitarlo. Por eso los voluntari@s volvemos a casa con el convencimiento de que es nuestra responsabilidad que esa cultura no se pierda. La cultura Tibetana y el budismo tibetano son un tesoro y están en peligro de extinción
En Tibet World se trabaja duro para conservar la cultura…
Todo empezó el 17 de Febrero de 2013, con el objetivo de que Tíbet se abriera al mundo y el mundo conociera Tíbet. Tibet World es una ONG y un centro de encuentro para la comunidad tibetana, situado en McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala en India. Cerca del 14º Dalai Lama y el gobierno tibetano en el exilio. La organización está dedicada a la educación en múltiples áreas así como para incitar a la juventud a participar en actividades sociales. Tibet World lleva a cabo gran variedad de actividades para atender los problemas más urgentes a nivel social y educacional para los refugiados tibetanos. También pretende ser un punto de unión para todas las personas del mundo que deseen trabajar por un mundo mejor.

Para qué exactamente queremos el dinero…
El objetivo de Tibet World es ser un proyecto autosostenible. Con ese fin tienen varias ideas entre manos. En el edificio que han alquilado tienen no solo las aulas sino también habitaciones. Esas habitaciones ya las alquilan tanto a voluntarios como turistas. El problema es que aún falta un buen aislamiento y algunos arreglos para que sea un sitio realmente adecuado. También tienen un café que ahora mismo solo usan los estudiantes y voluntari@s ya que no hay servicio como tal. Quieren arreglarlo para abrirlo a más gente y poder conseguir más financiación.
En la planta baja tienen una habitación que quieren convertir en tienda de artesanía…
En fin… muchas ideas y mucha ilusión que con vuestra ayuda pueden materializarse en este mismo año.
Lo que podrán hacer con el dinero que se recaude será:
– Comprar puertas para las terrazas (aluminio y cristal)
– Sellar ventanas
– Comprar un tanque de agua
– Arreglar las escaleras
– Arreglar la recepción (pintar, ventanas, estanterías, cortinas, sillas y mesas)
– Arreglar el café (pintar, ventanas, cortinas, asientos, cojines, mesas y lámparas)
Aparte de esto queríamos ayudarles a pagar el alquiler de las clases, en la colecta hemos metido el coste de un mes de alquiler, pero nuestro objetivo es poder pagarles por lo menos medio año de alquiler.
Queremos que te quedes con un recuerdo
Porque no solo queremos tu ayuda económica, también queremos que te quedes con el recuerdo del pueblo tibetano te mandaremos un regalo en función de tu aportación.
Si donas entre 10€ y 49€ te mandaremos una pulsera tibetana. Las pulseras tibetanas protegen de todo mal al que las lleva
Si donas entre 50€ y 99€ te mandaremos una pulsera y unas banderas tibetanas. Las banderas tibetanas son de 5 colores y representan los 5 elementos. Tienen escritos rezos budistas, los tibetanos las ponen en zonas altas y limpias como montañas porque creen que así el viento llevará los rezos por el mundo.
Si donas entre 100€ y 199€ te mandaremos unas banderas tibetanas y un colgante para la pared con una enseñanza del Dalai Lama escrita.
Si donas más de 200€ te mandaremos la enseñanza del Dalai Lama y una camiseta de Tibet World.

Don’t let the treasure get lost…
The volunteers that have worked together with Tibetans feel fortunate and blessed by the experience. The culture of non-violence, love and compassion is about to disappear if we don’t do anything about it. That is why the volunteers come back home with the conviction that it is our responsibilityto save this culture. The Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhism are treasures and they are endangered cultures.
In Tibet World they work hard to save their culture…
Everything started on February the 17th 2013, with the aim “Tibet meets the World, and the World meets Tibet”. Tibet World is an NGO, a meeting point for the Tibetan community located in McLeodGanj, Dharamsala in India, next to the 14th Dalai Lama’s place and to the Tibetan government in exile. Tibet World has a lot of activities in order to solve the more urgent, social and educational problems for Tibetan refugees. It also is a place where all the people that want to work for a better world can go and do it together.

What do we want the money for…
Tibet World people wantto be economically independent, and they have a few ideas for achieving this. The building they have rented has not only classrooms but also rooms.These rooms are nowadays being rented to volunteers and tourists. The problem is that it needs a few repairs to make it a really nice place. They also have a coffee place that is only used by volunteers and students, because it doesn’t have a proper coffee service. They want to refurbish it so they can open it to more people and get more financial support.
On the ground floor they also have a room where they want to open a shop…
There are a lot of ideas and dreams that can become true this year with your help.
This is what they will be able to do with this money:
· Buy doors for a balcony (aluminum + glass)
· Fix the windows
· Fix the stairs
· Buy a water tank
· Decoratethe reception area(painting, book shelves, windows, curtains, seats and tables)
· DecoratetheCafe(Painting, windows, curtains, seats, cushions, tables, lights)
Apart from that,we wanted to help them pay the rent of the classrooms. In this quotationjust one month of rent is included, but our aim is to reach the quantity of paying half a year’s worth.

Depending on the amount you decide to donate you will receive:
· A Tibetan bracelet if you donate a quantity between 10 € and 49 €. It will give you protection.
· A Tibetan bracelet and Tibetan prayer flags if you donate a quantity between 50 € and 99€. There are five Tibetan flags which each have a different colour, which represent the five elements. They have prayers on them and Buddhists put them in high and clean places such as mountains as they believe that the wind will spread them all around the world.
· Tibetan prayer flags and a wall hanger with Dalai Lamas teachings if you donate a quantity between 100 € and 199€.
· A wall hanger with Dalai Lama’s teachings and a Tibet World t-shirt if you donate a quantity higher than 200€.
